Damn! It's been a fair while since my last post. What's happened since then? Well I have finished my first trimester at uni and started the next one. I got really good marks on my results for the first assessments, so im trying to keep that up. We have finally launched into 3D and im already loving it. I was a little rusty to begin with but now Im finding Maya fairly easy to use.
Im also learning how to animate 2D characters which is really cool! Im reading The Animator's Survival Guide by Richard Williams which is the biggest help ever! Definitely recommend ANYONE interested in drawing should read that!

Hmmm... what else... Oh on a crapper note im pretty much completely broke thanks to rent, and my Xbox also decided to give me the red rings of death the other night so that sucks. But other than that alls good

Hey everyone,
It's been a while between posts as usual so here's a bit of an update...

Well after heaps of time wondering whether I should or shouldn't do it, I finally decided to go back to study in uni! I officially received my letter of offer into the course a couple of days ago so I'm pretty stoked! I am going to do a Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment majoring in Animation and it starts in under a month. I'm really looking forward to start learning animation again and I'm particularly excited about getting back into 3D character modeling! I haven't done anything in 3D for at least a couple of years so it is a little frightening to go into the course so rusty, but I should be fine...

I'm also currently working on a cool new angel picture which I'm liking more and more as I keep going with it. The character is pretty much done, I may have a few more things to fix up but I want to put a sweet background in as well. I have a few ideas in mind but if anyone thinks of something cool feel free to let me know. Here's the character so far [link]

So, I just realized it's been months since I have updated this bloody journal thing... thought it was about time I chucked up a quick post.

I have been doing more pics than usual lately, as you probably have noticed. I don't know where it's come from but im just so inspired to keep doing new stuff and I think I am finally becoming happy with my style and im trying to refine it more and more! I was having a bit of trouble about a month and a half ago or so just getting pencil to paper but now I just seem to be doing pictures with ease (Hope i don't jinx myself writing this haha)

So anyways I hope this doesn't stop because im loving it at the moment. If anyone out there has some cool ideas that you think would suit my style let me know and i might have a crack at it while my creative juices are flowing strong!!!

It's taken a while but i have finally hit 3000 pageviews... yeah i know it aint much to celebrate but i put a little pic together for it anyways!

Haha, i just realised it had been AGES since i have updated this journal thing so i thought i'd better let ya all know whats up.
Well i have been working on a new pic for a few days and its nearly ready to put up. I just have to finish the background and then its all done! It has to be one of my favourite looking pics i have done so far i think. I learned a new shading technique and this pic is my first attempt at it. I dont think it will be my last either!

Anyways keep an eye out for it in the next day or 2!
