Ok!!! The time has finally come for us to show the world our student short film "Against the Grain"! It took the two of us us 8 months of solid work to make this 3 minute mini-epic! Hey all! Just noticed I haven't posted a journal entry in 2 years! Thought I'd better let the 1 and a half people out there that might read this know that I'm still alive and kickin! Uni has been and gone for me now and I can finally say I am a qualified animator, however I still have much to learn! In the time away I have been very busy on quite a lot of things, namely my short film 'Against the Grain' which I worked on with another student Chris O'Keefe. Damn! It's been a fair while since my last post. What's happened since then? Well I have finished my first trimester at uni and started the next one. I got really good marks on my results for the first assessments, so im trying to keep that up. We have finally launched into 3D and im already loving it. I was a little rusty to begin with but now Im finding Maya fairly easy to use. Im also learning how to animate 2D characters which is really cool! Im reading The Animator's Survival Guide by Richard Williams which is the biggest help ever! Definitely recommend ANYONE interested in drawing should read that! Hmmm... what else... Oh on a crapper
